CRIMINAL LAW

Criminal Law deals with investigating, solving and punishing acts that are considered infractions and have as a legal consequence a criminal punishment (fines or incarceration). Modern legal systems consider that minor infractions should not have as punishment incarceration, but the payment of a fine. This principle is valid initially for simple cases of damage brought to other persons property or interests, also endangering these. In this case is about a contravention and not an infraction. From the beginning the legal consultant can evaluate if the act is an infraction or a contravention, being so able to evaluate the punishment that the client is risking.
